I got to be part of a fun campaign from Influenster! I got picked to be part of a VoxBox called the Recess Voxbox. Inside were some interesting new products that both myself and my kids really enjoyed! Read on for some info about each product.

If you have school-aged children, I'm sure you've heard of Bear Paws™. I know it's a staple in my kids lunches, and with so many flavors to choose from, it's hard to pick just one! Now they've added even more variety! Introducing Bear Paws Soft Granola Chocolate Chip:

I'm not surprised my kids enjoyed these because they're a fan of the regular Bear Paws as well. I liked that they were made with granola so they get more fibre and whole grains in their diet. The taste and texture was really good, and there was just the right amount of chocolate chips so they weren't too sweet. I will be buying these again for the kids to snack on, and put in their lunches!

Next up is Welch's Fruit Snacks! We got to try two flavors- Mixed Fruit and Berries 'n Cherries.

My oldest enjoyed the Mixed Fruit flavor, and really enjoyed the different flavors in one package, which consisted of strawberry, white grape raspberry, orange, white grape peach, and concord grape. My youngest enjoyed the Berries 'n Cherries flavor, as she likes more traditional tastes. This package consisted of blackberry, blueberry, cherry, dark cherry, strawberry, and raspberry flavors. I liked that they were made with real fruit, and were a good source of vitamins. They weren't too chewy or hard like some other fruit snacks. Both my girls have requested that I buy both of these flavors so they can take them in their lunches!

One of two items that were not food related was the Maybelline Lash Sensational Washable Mascara.


My favorite product in the whole box was the Maybelline Lash Sensational Washable Mascara. Normally I stick with my tried and true mascara from another brand, but this Maybelline mascara really impressed me! The slim tube made it easy to hold, and the curved brush made it really easy to apply the mascara, and get Every. Single. Lash. I tried the black mascara, and my lashes looked really long and really full! I am definitely going to switch from my regular brand and buy this mascara from now on!

I have heard of risotto, and found tons of recipes online, but have never tried risotto. Not only was this really easy to prepare, it also tasted amazing! I was expecting it to be a bit bland, but the cheese flavor just popped! The rice was firm, but soft. It wasn't salty at all, and super creamy. This is going to be a staple in our house from now on! #NewKnorrSelects

Stayfree Challenge

Do you remember those Stayfree pad commercials where they poor the blue dye onto the pads? I certainly do, and had always wanted to try it. Thanks to Journeys of the Zoo , I got the chance! I signed up on her blog, and was sent a Stayfree kit to try out at home for the #StayfreeChallengeContest . It was exactly like they showed in the commercials. Put the Stayfree pad on one side, put the competitor's pad on the other, pour blue dye onto both, wait 30 seconds for the pad to absorb the liquid, then use the blotting paper to see how much the pad had soaked up. Stayfree is the clear winner! If you've ever thought about switching brands, maybe this will help. Here are my results:
